"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit
Matthew 28:19
"Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua), and the door which gives access to the other Sacraments"
-Catechism of the Catholic Church #1213
Preparation for the baptism of infants can begin during pregnancy. Preparation classes are given on an individual basis or in groups depending on the number requesting baptism for their child. We ask that parents attend two preparation sessions. The first session focuses on the theology of Baptism; the second session addresses the signs and symbols of the sacrament.
Please contact Deacon Charles Huber, 301-365-1415, x238 or deaconcharles@olom.org for infant or children baptism and Anna LaNave for teen/adult baptism.
This should be done before contacting a priest or choosing a date.
